The Psychosocial effects of the covid-19 lockdown`s on school-age childrens: A literature review

Introduction Home confinement was implemented worldwide as a response to the covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, almost all school-age children started receive home-schooling from beginning of 2020, it necessary due length lockdowns. Being quarantined at home imposed an increase in psychological burden and situation aggravated because school closure, lack outdoor activity, aberrant dietary sleeping habits, disrupting children’s usual lifestyle promoting monotony, distress, impatience, annoyance, varied neuropsychiatric manifestations. Objectives This study aims understand correlation between quarantine psychosocial effects on children. Methods An integrative literature review developed 3 steps: Development research question, search for scientific articles Pubmed database, critical analysis included articles. The conducted September 2022, 2019 2022 were selected, total 510 articles, which 28 used. Results caused by coronavirus immediate lingering impact drastic changes their physical lifestyle, mental excursions. Even short-term shutdown educational institutions is indeed troublesome anticipated have detrimental health shatter sense normalcy that schools used provide. Another important factor note some children`s had be detached parents several factors, this juncture ever-lasting psychiatric consequences including post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, psychosis, depression, delinquency, even suicidal tendency. Conclusions Thus, frontline physicians must aware needs Hospital authorities need make arrangements communicate with via audiovisual devices.
